Jenny took part in a panel discussion today about financial services group actions alongside Philip Marshall QC and Simon Hatton, both of Serle Court, and Leeor Cohen from Burford Capital.
She talked about the advantages and disadvantages of group litigation orders from the claimant’s perspective, and the role of third-party litigation funding and ATE insurance in financial services group actions.
The panel considered the experience of several recent high-profile financial services group actions in this jurisdiction, including the Lloyds shareholder group action, the RBS rights issue litigation, and the Tesco shareholder group action.
