The firm’s Jenny Morrissey is due to speak at the Law Society’s Dispute Resolution Section’s event on big trends to watch out for in commercial dispute resolution in 2024.
The other speakers and Jenny will discuss the trends and new challenges faced by commercial litigators in the English courts, including Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR), the litigation funding market, collective actions, digital assets litigation, and regulatory developments. The panel is likely to touch on issues raised by cases such as the Supreme Court’s judgment in PACCAR v Competition Appeal Tribunal, and the Court of Appeal’s judgment in Churchill v Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council on Court’s power to compel parties to engage in ADR.
