Pierce is a New Zealand qualified lawyer. Prior to moving to London, he worked for seven years in the litigation team at a leading firm in New Zealand. He joined Harcus Parker as an Associate after working for a national firm supporting an array of NHS bodies and public sector clients to resolve commercial litigation and procurement disputes.

Legal Expertise

Pierce has acted in in wide range of contentious areas including building and construction, commercial, insolvency, procurement, and property disputes. He has acted for multi-national corporations, banks and financial institutions, insolvency practitioners, small business owners and individuals. At Harcus Parker he assists with management of the group litigation relating to unfair relationship claims arising from the sale of Payment Protection Insurance and mis-selling claims arising from motor finance agreements.

Notable cases include:

  • Community Health Partnerships Limited v OCS Group UK Limited – acting for the Claimant over a litigated public procurement dispute by an unsuccessful bidder over a soft FM services contract
  • King v Harrison – Defended leading Australian bankruptcy trustees against multiple defamation proceedings brought against them in New Zealand

Pierce was admitted as Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2016.
