Pierce is a New Zealand qualified lawyer. He joined Harcus Parker as an Associate in 2024 after working for a national firm supporting an array of NHS bodies and public sector clients to resolve commercial litigation and procurement disputes. Prior to moving to London, he worked for seven years in the litigation team at a leading firm in New Zealand acting on a wide range of contentious areas including building and construction, commercial, insolvency and property disputes.
Pierce graduated from AUT University with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) in 2016 and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Auckland in 2013. He was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand in 2016.
Recent projects
- Supported an NHS organisation regarding a litigated public procurement dispute by an unsuccessful bidder over a £237m soft FM services contract
- Defended leading Australian bankruptcy trustees against multiple defamation proceedings brought against them in New Zealand
- Represented claimant homeowners in action against multiple defendants regarding a residential dwelling that suffered from serious building defect and weathertightness issues
