Dan has been with Harcus Parker since its inception in 2019, having worked with Senior Partner, Damon at Harcus Sinclair for the preceding 7 years. Dan is a commercial litigator and a group litigation specialist with over 10 years’ experience handling complex disputes, typically acting for large groups of claimants in financial services claims in the High Court.

Dan currently acts for hundreds of thousands of consumers in seeking a ground breaking collective management order relating to unfair relationship claims arising from the sale of Payment Protection Insurance.  He regularly advises on multi-claimant proceedings and has a deep understanding of the strategic and procedural complexities involved in group litigation.

Dan has a strong track record of securing and managing third party funding and insurance on behalf of claimant groups.  He has established relationships with many of the most prominent litigation funders and insurers in the market and has acted on behalf of a number of such funders.

He also acts on behalf of individuals and companies in commercial disputes, often including multiple jurisdictions. He has had a lead role in some of the most high profile recent financial services group claims.

  • the Fire Control Centres Group Litigation.  Abernethy & Ors v Barclays Bank & Ors  – acting on behalf of hundreds of thousands of consumers in seeking a ground breaking collective management order relating to unfair relationship claims arising from the sale of Payment Protection Insurance.
  • Moon & Ors v Link Fund Solutions Limited – acted for several thousand private shareholders in prospectus claims against the authorised corporate director of the failed Woodford Equity Income Fund
  • Lyndou v Lazarichev & Ors – acting for the claimant in a constructive trust claim related to an entitlement to shares in a high profile cryptocurrency exchange.
