Rob is an experienced commercial litigator, having acted for individuals and corporate clients from various industries across a broad range of commercial disputes.

RECENT EXPERIENCE

• Suppipat & Ors v Narongdej & Ors: Acting for two defendants in a Commercial Court fraud claim for US$1bn – US$2bn arising out of the sale of a major Thai renewable energy business. The trial was one of The Lawyer’s top 20 cases of 2022 and lasted from October 2022 to March 2023.
• Acting for a prominent east African businessman in connection with an inquiry into damages suffered as a result of the imposition of a freezing order that was subsequently lifted.
• Acting for the Claimants in a dispute against the investment bank UBS in connection with alleged misstatements and/or negligent advice given in relation to the leveraged acquisition of a security on the Hong Kong stock exchange.

Rob qualified in Victoria, Australia in 2009 and spent two years practising there before moving to England and working mainly at a regional and a city firm. He qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales in 2015.
