Olivia qualified as a solicitor in 2019 and joined Harcus Parker in 2020. She is a commercial litigator with particular expertise in financial services disputes, consumer product liability claims, and complex multi-party actions.

Legal Expertise

Olivia currently acts for consumers in claims against TSB Bank concerning mortgage prisoners holding Whistletree-branded TSB mortgages.

She is instructed in Breeze and others v TSB Bank plc (Whistletree Group Litigation), a significant claim brought on behalf of several thousand mortgage borrowers. The litigation involves complex legal and procedural issues, including contractual claims and claims under the Consumer Credit Act 1974. The case raises novel points of statutory interpretation and is proceeding through the High Court and Court of Appeal.

Other notable matters include acting for thousands of claimants in the Mercedes Nox Emissions Litigation, concerning the alleged use of unlawful emissions defeat devices in diesel vehicles. Beyond group claims, Olivia has advised clients on a range of matters, including professional negligence actions and unfair prejudice petitions.
